Culture is a vital component to history and allows us to tell our stories, celebrate identity, and imagine the future together. Throughout the week, celebrate positivity through food, faith, family and fellowship as you experience Promised Land As Proving Ground before the full opening in 2025. You will have an opportunity to make your very own spice blend inspired by the exhibit. Cultural Diversity Drum Circle returns to explore diverse cultures through the heartbeat of rhythms that embrace the human connection in music.

Thursday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.: Guided Walks of Promised Land As Proving Ground: Join us for a guided walk with Conner Prairie staff through Prairietown and experience the Promised Land As Proving Ground exhibit before the full opening in 2025. This walk will include time to pause, reflect, notice and wonder as you learn about the history of African American culture through food, faith, family and fellowship.

Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. – Noon at the Kiln Shed in Prairietown next to the Potter's shop: Cultural Diversity Drum Circle - Join Cultural Diversity Drum Circle and explore the rhythms of different cultures, how they bring people together and how music improves wellbeing to uplift and celebrate the human experience.

Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. – Noon at the Kiln Shed in Prairietown next to the Potter's shop: Create Your Own Spice Blend – Foodways is an important piece to the Promised Land As Proving Ground experience.
