Hand tool woodworking is a satisfying way to connect more directly with our past and the materials that shape daily life. In this one-day foundational class, you’ll learn how to select, tune, and use classic hand tools — including saws, planes, brace and bits, layout tools, and chisels — while constructing a simple, functional “staked” stool.  

Along the way, you’ll gain the skills to tackle future woodworking projects with confidence. This workshop is ideal for beginners and anyone interested in connecting with the materials and methods that shaped early American craftsmanship. All tools and materials are provided.
